Proper termination, placement, and maximum length of wires are three very important points to consider when laying them down. Never should a wire be bundled with electrical wiring, let alone tossed over fluorescent lighting in the ceiling. And if they are too long, the signal sent through them will degrade too much for the receiver to recognize what it should be.
