Telephony:

As with any system that is installed, dependability and reliability is of the utmost importance. Having a dedicated phone server (PBX) can be a great value. Installing a PBX locally can increase production by allowing OSN to quickly respond to and fix problems with your phones that might occur, rather than having to rely on your local carrier to send a tech out to fix a problem that he/she may not be familiar with.

Benefits:

  • Lower costs:
  • With a PBX, coupled with a PRI/T1, you no longer have to pay for each and every phone line that comes into the building. Instead, the PBX handles the calls and routes them accordingly to whomever should recieve the call.

  • Direct Dial:
  • Each desk hadset can have their own direct-dial line without having to pay for multiple lines. With the PBX, you can decide how caller ID interacts with that line's outgoing calls.

  • Personal Greetings:
  • Each person can have their own greeting, whether on the phone, away from the desk, or out of the office for the day. This is included with the server computer - not each individual phone. In this way, you can use any phone you want. Let the phone system handle the heavy lifting.
